"Hawk Eyes"

The “Hawk Eyes” is a new unique initiative, focused on student involvement in keeping their school safe.

  • It is a proactive program that addresses crimes that have been committed at school and in the community.
  • It’s a joint effort between the Suffolk Police Department, Suffolk Public Schools, Crime Stoppers and the community to keep our schools safe.
  • This program teaches a proactive not reactive approach to administrators, students, parents and the community by publicizing a safer school environment.
  • Students will learn responsibility and character development.
  • Students meet briefly with the School Resource Officer, Officer G.A. Hart, and the student Crime Stoppers Faculty Advisor, Ms. K. Reid, during school hours. These meetings will not affect their core classes or academics.
  • Every student in the Hawk Eyes is assigned a club responsibilities and earn community service hours through their participation and experience.
